Getting Started

Learning the Game

Now that you are sure you want to own and manage your own online marching band, you need to become familiar with the basics of gameplay.  Please read the following carefully, as it will teach you how the game is played.

The Point System

As an iLeague standard, your band will recieve 400 points to begin its season.  Your job is to divide those points between 6 categories:
Music Execution
Drill Execution
Color Guard Performance
Brass Performance
Woodwind Performance
Percussion Performance

The more points you have in a certain category, the better your band is at that caption.

The Budget System
If you are performing in the medium or large class division, you will be asked to manage a budget along with your points.  You will learn more about this later.

Competitions
Competitions will be held once a week, for 10 weeks.  After each competition, you may recieve points and/or funding for your band.  Your task is to reorganize your point distributions and resubmit them before the next event.  Easy enough, right?

Email or Internet
As a director, you may choose to play the game entirely through email correspondence, internet forms, or a combination of the two.  An internet connection is not required, but recommended.

Now that you know how to play, it's time to choose an organization to join.  Click here
